2022 World Paddling Film Festival

Get ready for an exciting and inspiring family-friendly evening under the stars, raising money to change the lives of local Okanagan kids through outdoor recreation! Hoodoo Adventures is excited to announce that we are bringing the 17th annual, 2022 World Paddling Film Festival to Penticton on Friday May 6th! The event is a fundraiser for the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society (YORS), with 100% of event proceeds going to YORS and their mission to change the lives of kids through outdoor recreation and learning. Brought to you by the Great Escape Outdoors, the Paddling Film Festival is an international adventure film tour presenting the world’s best paddling films of the year – whitewater, sea kayaking, canoeing, SUP, action and lifestyle – in more than 120 cities and towns across Canada, United States and around the world. With 16 inspiring paddling films shortlisted for the World Tour, including the 11 festival category winners, audiences will see hairy whitewater action, sea kayakers exploring remote coastlines, northern river canoe expeditions, international river travel films, motivating environmental documentaries and grueling kayak fishing battles. Audiences can expect a fun, social and entertaining evening inspired by compelling films. Alongside the films, guests can enjoy local food and beverages from: Tube Steak Boogie, Nummerland Paletas, Hwy 97 Brewery, Howling Moon Cider and Tightrope Winery, in addition to freshly popped popcorn and family-friendly concession beverages and snacks. Gates open at 6:30PM, with food and beverage available. Films begin at 8:00pm.
