Environment Canada issued a wind warning early Jan. 4 for the South Thompson area, including Kamloops and it's now been rescinded.

Strong westerly winds of 70 to 90 kilometres an hour were expected.

Continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
