COFB Heli Ball Drop Fundraiser

The Central Okanagan Food Bank is excited to announce its first-ever Heli Ball Drop fundraiser which allows people the chance to win cash prizes of up to $10,000. The event is set to take place on June 16th at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Course. How it works: People can purchase numbered golf balls online, from two different tiers. Day of the event, a helicopter will collect the numbered balls and distribute them over a target on the first fairway at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf Course. Closest Ball to the target in each tier wins a cash prize. Golf ball pricing and prize amounts are as follows: Tier 1 = $25 for one ball (1 in 1,500 chance of winning) with $7,000 prizeTier 2 = $50 for one ball (1 in 750 chance of winning) with $3,000 prizeThe Heli Ball Drop runs congruent with COFB’s annual charity golf tournament. “Because there is a limit on how many people can participate in our golf tournament, we wanted to create a way for more people in the community to join in on the fun.” Says RayAnn Gruza, Communication and Engagement Coordinator at the COFB. She adds “There are a limited amount of golf balls so don’t wait too long to buy one. “The food bank is thrilled to partner with each sponsor of the event as well as Valhalla helicopters, who will be performing the ball drop.
