The Kamloops Museum and Archives invites residents to engage in a special event related to the current exhibition, Len. Coffee and a Chat about Len Marchand Sr. is an intimate storytelling session with close friends and family of Len Marchand Sr. The Len exhibition opened on June 30, 2023, and features popular Kamloops-based political leader the Honourable Leonard (Len) Stephen Marchand Sr. (November 16, 1933–June 3, 2016), a member of Syilx Nation.
Coffee and a Chat about Len Marchand Sr. is a story-sharing session that celebrates Len’s life through stories from his family and close friends. The stories, in conjunction with Len’s wife Donna and son Len Jr., reach into his personal and professional life and explore his roots here in Kamloops. The session will be followed by a brief open discussion with audience members.
Residents interested in attending the complimentary Coffee and a Chat about Len Marchand Sr. are welcome to attend the Kamloops Museum and Archives on November 18, 2023, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
