Saying Yes: a personal journey of Indigenous educator, mentor, and speaker Toni Boer.
In her work, Toni helps to integrate First People’s ways of knowing in the classroom, working to lead staff to understand reconciliation and walking alongside educators to support them in this work. At the start of 2023, Toni, a woman of faith, was challenged to say “Yes” to God.
The adventures and opportunities that have followed have been challenging, a catalyst for personal growth and reflection, and have pushed her way outside of her comfort zone in big ways. Toni will share how saying “Yes” has been one of the most challenging things she has done in her walk of faith and how she has incorporated that into her personal and work life.
