Grandmothers for Africa Jazz Night Fundraiser

Grandmothers for Africa SO present their annual benefit concert with the Thursday Night Jazz Band. Tickets in advance from the Lakeside Resort (front desk, cash only).
A hand crafted quilt created by 300 grandmothers across Canada and Africa, titled “Nurturing Generations Under the Canopy of Sisterhood” will be on display in the lobby of the Lakeside hotel from 5:00pm – 9:00pm and for the duration of this event.
The quilt represents the solidarity of grandmothers worldwide as we continue to turn the tide on HIV and AIDS. The quilt celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
If you are not able to make the Jazz Night event, but still want to view this beautiful and meaningful work of art, it will also be on display at Cherry Lane Mall by Save-on -Foods on Friday, March 8 from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
