RDOS invites Area “E” residents to consult on budget

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen will host an open house Wednesday, January 22, to introduce Area “E” residents to the 2014 Operating Budget.
The presentation will be held at the Naramata Old Age Pensioner’s Building, Third and Ritchie, beginning at 7 p.m.
The open house will include a presentation from the Regional District's Finance team. Area “E’ residents can comment on the budget and ask questions of the Finance team and Area Director attending. Information materials will be made available for residents to take home for further consideration.
The presentation will focus on tax requisitions, services and user fees specific to Electoral Area “E.”
General budget documents are also available for review on the RDOS website.
The budget bylaw will go before the Regional Board for second and third reading and adoption in mid-March. The process must be completed no later than March 31, 2014.
