
RCMP investigating fatal shooting in Oliver
Oliver Mounties are investigating a fatal shooting that happened late Saturday night.
RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 6000-block of Sandpoint Drive in Oliver June 13, shortly before 11:30 p.m., and found a dead male upon arrival.
The Southeast District Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation with the assistance of the South Okanagan RCMP.
"The investigation is in its early stages, but preliminary information suggests this was a targeted incident and no danger to the public at large exists," reads a press release issued Sunday afternoon.
