Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen to host operating budget open house

AREA "B" AND "G" RESIDENTS INVITED TO CONSULT ON BUDGET

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen will host an open house Wednesday, February 5, to introduce residents of Electoral Areas “B” and “G” to the 2014 Operating Budget.

The presentation will be held at the Victory Hall, 704 – 4 Street, in Keremeos, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The open house will include a presentation from Regional District Finance staff. Residents can comment on the budget and ask questions of staff and Area Directors attending. Information materials will be made available for residents to take home for further consideration.

The presentation will focus on tax requisitions, services and user fees specific to Electoral Areas “B” and “G.”

General budget documents are also available for review on the RDOS website.

The budget bylaw will go before the Regional Board for second and third reading and adoption in mid-March. The process must be completed no later than March 31, 2014.
