Alex Trebek says he’s ‘doing well’ in video update

Alex Trebek said he's feeling good and is looking forward to the day he can safely return to filming Jeopardy! episodes.

"I am doing well I have been continuing my treatment and it is paying off though it does fatigue me a great deal," Trebek said in a video update. "My numbers are good I am feeling great. During a break from the studio, I wrote a book that will be coming out July 21."

His memoir is titled, "The Answer Is … Reflections on My Life." The book hits shelves Tuesday, the day before Trebek's 80th birthday.

Trebek also said he's been working from home, where he is recording show openings for vintage "Jeopardy!" episodes that will air later this month.

Trebek announced he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March of last year.
