Kamloops police arrested a woman after waving around a large knife this morning.
Officers were called to the 400-block of Victoria Street at around 8:30 a.m., Oct. 22, where a woman was erratically waving around a big knife, according to an RCMP media release.
Police managed to arrest the woman after using a conducted energy weapon, which is the official name for the type of weapon made by brands like Taser.
“It is early in the investigation, officers are investigating to determine all of the circumstances surrounding this incident,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dana Napier said in the release.
Anyone with information or video of the incident has been asked to contact Kamloops RCMP 250-828-3000 and cite file 2025-35256.
