Chance of showers on Halloween in Kamloops, Okanagan

Tell the kids to think about a waterproof costume this Halloween since it could rain in Kamloops and the Okanagan.
Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon are looking at a high of 8 Celsius and a low of 5 C with a 30 per cent chance of rain for Halloween night. Kamloops is forecast to have a high of 11 C, a low of 5 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers.
If the clouds do open up on trick-or-treaters, Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon is expecting light showers.
“It doesn’t look substantial at this point anyways. We might see maybe a little bit more precipitation on Saturday, but on Friday itself, if anything falls, it’ll be pretty minimal, so I’m not expecting big amounts in the Kamloops area or the Okanagan Valley,” he said.
Sekhon said it should be close to what Halloween was like last year.
“Maybe similar temperatures, maybe a little bit warmer in the evening… so nothing too drastic, nothing too extreme,” he said.
There is a weather pattern coming in from the coast with could bring some wind, but at the moment that’s not in the forecast.
“With Halloween decorations this time of year, considering that we can get some windy conditions at times, it’s important to kind of keep those tied down,” Sekhon said.
