iN PHOTOS: First snowfall at high elevation lakes in Kamloops, Okanagan

[byline]

The first snow of the season has fallen on recreational mountain lakes in Kamloops and the Okanagan, creating moody and magical landscapes.

November can be dreary in the valleys that tend to get socked in with inversion, but there is beauty to behold up above the fog for those willing to get a bit chilly.

Area photographers have captured several fishing lakes under newly fallen snow in recent weeks. Most of the photos in this collection were taken just after snow fell at higher elevations in the mid-November.
