DUNEDIN — Jonatan Clase went 3 for 3 at the plate and drove in two runs as the Toronto Blue Jays played to a 4-4 tie against the Detroit Tigers in pre-season action Sunday.
Clase opened the scoring with a two-run double in the bottom of the third inning for Jays.
Toronto held a 4-2 lead late but surrendered two runs in the eighth inning.
Austin Slater had an RBI single followed an Eduardo Valencia sacrifice fly that scored John Peck to tie the game for the Tigers.
Grant Rogers went three innings with three strikeouts and did not surrender a hit or a run for Toronto.
The Blue Jays host the Boston Red Sox on Monday at TD Ballpark in Dunedin, Fla.
