This is where cold hard facts give way to the hottest of takes, mostly mine I suppose. I’m the editor, Marshall Jones.

Hello,
The Penticton Vees moved from the BCHL to the WHL this season where they’re continuing their winning ways.
The Vees have made the playoffs and it’s possible they’ll be playing the Kelowna Rockets at the Memorial Cup as Kelowna is hosting this year and the Rockets get a bye into the tournament.
So what’s the secret sauce that had the Vees so successful in the BCHL and now the WHL?
iNFOnews.ca reporter Levi Landry took a good look and this is what he found out.
What do you think makes the Penticton’s team so dominate in junior hockey?

Hello,
The folks behind the free, ferry service for pedestrians and cyclists on the North Okanagan and Shuswap section of the Rail Trail are getting ready for their second year of operation.
Last season, the Sicamous Ferry Society ferried more than 10,000 people across the Sicamous Narrows Channel. It’s a much safer option than trying to get over the under construction Bruhn Bridge on Highway 1 in Sicamous.
The volunteers saw a need and filled it by bringing the community together.

Spring is definitely in the air. The snow earlier this week was hopefully the last blast of winter.
Daily high temperature records were broken in some of our cities this week, Kamloops and Salmon Arm, with the mercury expected to rise to 21 Celsius in Kamloops Friday.
Trees are starting to bud, birds are more active and of course the insects are flying and crawling.
Greenhouses are starting to get busy as people buy their bedding plants in anticipation of getting into the garden. Although there are still some below zero overnight lows in the forecast.
It’s also time to think about booking the vehicle in to get those noisy winter tires off.
How’s your winter been? Are you ready for spring? Send us an email at news@infonews.ca, we’d love to hear from you.

Handgun seized during Salmon Arm traffic stop: RCMP
That handgun is a Smith and Wesson .380 Bodyguard. It has a very short barrel at roughly 70mm. In Canada any handgun with a barrel length of less than 105mm is a prohibited weapon. It is highly unlikely that this pistol was ever legally owned by anyone in Canada let alone legally owned by the guy in the car. It is more likely that it has been smuggled over the USA/Canada border from the USA.

Tara Armstrong is currently the MLA for Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream. She rode the coattails of the BC Conservative Party, got elected, then rejected and left the party to serve as an Independent within weeks because the Conservatives were too left wing. Now she gets to spout moronic, hateful rhetoric and claim that her riding supports her.

Elections BC says you can recall an MLA if 40% of eligible voters in the riding sign a recall petition — but not for the first 18 months after an election. Some people started an online petition calling for a byelection once she made a shift to independent, then got herself a raise by forming her own party, but it won’t mean anything until the countdown clock hits zero.
So let the countdown begin!
