Crash closes Coquihalla Highway south of Merritt
A crash has closed the southbound lanes of the Coquihalla Highway south of Merritt this morning.
DriveBC reports Highway 5 southbound is closed between Exit 276 Comstock Road and Exit 256 Coldwater Road, from nine to 29 kilometres south of Merritt due to a collision today, Feb. 2.
Drivers are reporting traffic is backed up significantly at the scene.
Alternate routes are available and an assessment is in progress, DriveBC says.
DriveBC anticipates the highway will reopen at 11 a.m.
