CALGARY — Mya Jones came in off the bench late in the second half and scored twice, including a goal one minute into stoppage time, to lift the Calgary Wild to a 2-2 draw over the visiting Montreal Roses in Northern Super League action on Saturday.
Lisa Pechersky gave the unbeaten Roses (3-0-1) the lead 24 minutes into the match at McMahon Stadium.
That lead held up until Jones scored in the 85th minute to tie the match for the winless Wild (0-2-1), only to see Claire Monyard restore the visitors’ lead with a goal five minutes later.
The NSL-leading Roses outshot the Wild 14-11 (8-5 on target) and had five corners compared to the Wild’s three.
