Hufnagel not thrilled about veteran Anwar Stewart divulging “a team thing”

TORONTO – John Hufnagel selected veteran Anwar Stewart to address the players on the eve of the 100th Grey Cup game.

But the Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman wasn’t supposed to tell the media that.

“First of all, I asked him to speak,” Calgary coach Hufnagel said after Saturday’s walkthrough. “I’m not real pleased that he shared that information with you, that’s a team thing. And should remain a team thing.”

Stewart, 36, will play in his eighth Canadian Football League championship.

He told reporters he planned to stress the importance of playing for each other when the team met Saturday night on the eve of its game against the Toronto Argonauts.
