A complex of wildfires burning in the Fraser Canyon are causing varying levels of smoke in Kamloops and some residents took out their cameras to capture apocalyptic looking photographs.
Smoke from the Brunswick Creek wildfires in the Boston Bar area drifted into Kamloops on Saturday, July 4.
The following Tuesday evening, July 7, so much smoke rolled in due to strong winds causing increased fire behaviour that the sky darkened and turned shades of orange. Visibility was reduced and some ash fell.

An orange level air quality alert was issued for the South Thompson and Shuswap regions Wednesday with air quality fluctuating between moderate risk and very high risk.
Kamloops skies were hazy Thursday with a yellow, or low, air quality warning.
The website FireSmoke.ca shows smoke billowing from Boston Bar northeast to Kamloops, the Shuswap and up into Golden, with some affecting parts of the North Okanagan.
Environment Canada is forecasting smoke in the Kamloops area for the next couple of days.
