Okanagan Dream Rally turns horsepower into hope for children and families

Some of the world’s most impressive cars will roar through the Okanagan this summer, but the biggest attraction will be the smiles in the passenger seats, as the Okanagan Dream Rally returns Saturday, July 25, bringing more than 200 high-end, exotic and specialty vehicles to downtown Kelowna before travelling through West Kelowna and Peachland.

At the heart of the rally are its young Co-Pilots, children and youth who have faced significant challenges and are paired with drivers for an unforgettable trip through the Okanagan. The event is designed to give every Co-Pilot the full rally experience, from meeting their driver and seeing the cars lined up at the starting area to hearing the engines start and heading out for the drive of a lifetime.

The Dream Rally has also become one of the region’s most recognizable community fundraisers. Through the support of drivers, sponsors, donors, volunteers and spectators, the August Family Foundation has raised more than $4.7 million for charity to date. The 2026 rally supports Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon and the KGH Foundation, helping children and families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon provides accommodation and support to families who must travel for their child’s medical care, including hundreds of families from the Okanagan each year. The KGH Foundation supports health care and patient services in the region.

The community can help amplify that impact through donations, sponsorships, auction contributions, and the event’s fundraising 50/50 draw, which supports Ronald McDonald House.

The public portion of rally day begins in downtown Kelowna, where spectators can see the vehicles lined up along Water Street in front of Prospera Place. Spectators are encouraged to arrive around 9 am, allowing time to explore the cars and visit the vendor area before the drivers meet their Co-Pilots.

Engines will start at 10:15 am, and the rally is expected to depart at 10:30 am.

From Kelowna, the rally will cross the William R. Bennett Bridge and travel through West Kelowna before continuing to Peachland. The cars are expected to reach West Kelowna around 10:45 am and Peachland around 11 am. In Peachland, the rally will turn onto Beach Avenue and parade along the lake to 13th Street before heading back toward Kelowna. The vehicles are expected to return to Kelowna around noon, before participants continue to a private lunch and an afternoon wrap-up.

There are several places for the public to watch the rally. The downtown starting area offers the best opportunity to see the vehicles parked and meet some of the people involved before the departure. Spectators can also watch from public areas along Highway 97 in West Kelowna, including near the Westside Road overpass. In Peachland, viewers can gather along Beach Avenue as the vehicles parade beside Okanagan Lake. Organizers note the rally can also be watched from the water near the William R. Bennett Bridge and the Peachland shoreline.

The Okanagan Dream Rally regularly attracts tens of thousands of spectators, turning the route into a celebration of cars, community and the young people riding inside them.
