Reese, Hillmon lead the Dream past struggling Tempo 111-92

TORONTO — Marina Mabrey returned to form with a game-high 26 points, but the Toronto Tempo lost for the sixth time in seven games with a 111-92 defeat against the Atlanta Dream on Friday.

Naz Hillmon, Angel Reese, Allisha Gray and Jordin Canada led the way for the Eastern Conference-leading Dream (15-10) with 24, 23, 18 and 18 points, respectively.

Mabrey was held to only eight points in her previous outing against the Washington Mystics last Tuesday. Nyara Sabally was next best on the Tempo (10-15) with 16 points against Atlanta.

Sabally was helped off the court with 3:16 remaining in the game following an under-the-basket collision with Reese, who had 12 rebounds for the Dream.

The Tempo endured a sloppy game with 20 turnovers that led to 29 points for the Dream.

The Dream has won two straight and three of its last four.

Atlanta held a 48-47 advantage at halftime, and increased the lead to 77-66 after three quarters.
