UPDATE: Abducted child in West Kelowna found safe

Police issued a province wide alert early this morning for help locating a four-year-old boy allegedly abducted by his mother, and he has since been found safe.

This is the second time in a week that the boy had been reported missing and found safe. He was found today, July 22, after police issued an amber alert at 12:02 a.m.

The alert said the suspect was his mom, and he was last seen at 11:20 a.m. on July 21. There were more than 12 hours between his last known location and when the alert went out.

Police found both the boy and the mom, he was unharmed and is currently safe.

He was reported missing last week in Langley, on July 16, the suspect was his mother. He was found on July 20, the day before the amber alert went out.

An amber alert was not issued for the four-year-old the first time he went missing.

West Kelowna RCMP declined an interview request from iNFOnews.ca.

    If the child keeps going missing while being with mom maybe the visit needs to be supervised. I don’t know the circumstance but it kinda makes sense
