Kokadama Moss Ball Workshop at Sahara Garden Art

Join us for a hands-on Kokedama Moss Ball workshop, where you will learn the traditional Japanese gardening technique of creating moss-wrapped plant arrangements. Participants will select their preferred plants and use provided materials, including moss, jute, and decorative accessories, to craft unique home decor pieces. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, and guidance on design and care will be provided. All necessary supplies are included.

Dirt Road Opera at The Hub On Martin

Dirt Road Opera’s distinctive sound is shaped by the collective talents of two Juno-nominated lead vocalists, a versatile multi-instrumentalist, and a dynamic percussionist. Recently, all three core members of Dirt Road Opera were inducted into the BC Country Music Hall of Fame, a testament to their enduring contributions to the genre. Their original music ranges from emotive ballads such as “Hard to Find” to the hillbilly rock of “Nowheresville”, which is also the title of their debut album.

2026 Dragon Boat Festival

Dragon Boat teams from Kamloops, and all over BC and Canada will compete in 500 metre races on the Thompson River. Teams from Kelowna, Langley, Penticton, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Fort Langley, Sicamous, Port Moody, and Chilliwack will be there, to name a few. Plus these teams will compete in the Guts & Glory race of 1,500 metres.
