FRISCO, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to contract extensions with a pair of emerging role players on offense in tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford and receiver Ryan Flournoy.

Spann-Ford is getting an $18 million, three-year contract. Flournoy is adding one year at $6 million to his deal. Both were set to become restricted free agents after the season.

The deal with Spann-Ford means he and starting tight end Jake Ferguson are under contract through 2029. Flournoy is the No. 3 receiver behind the star duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.

The 26-year-old Spann-Ford slowly ascended from undrafted free agent in 2024 to his current role, pushing past 2023 second-round pick Luke Schoonmaker along the way.

Schoonmaker’s future in Dallas was in question coming out of the preseason, but he made the 53-man roster. The former Michigan player is going into the final season of his rookie contract.

Spann-Ford, who played at Minnesota in college, had nine catches in each of his first two seasons and scored a touchdown last season. He has also been a regular on special teams, although those duties are likely to decrease with more of a role on offense.

Flournoy also made his mark on special teams but caught four touchdowns last season, earning the trust of quarterback Dak Prescott along the way.
