Someone moved around some campaign signs in West Kelowna and police are taking it seriously.

It’s campaign season and double trouble with municipal and provincial elections going on simultaneously.

Police are investigating a case of moved electoral signs. It happened shortly after midnight in the wee hours today, Sept. 25, according to a press release from RCMP.

“Multiple electoral campaign signs belonging to various candidates were removed from their original locations overnight and placed at two residential properties in West Kelowna,” according to an RCMP media release.

Surveillance video shows two people placing the signs for various candidates at one of the residential properties in West Kelowna.

The two suspects were caught on the video fleeing the scene in a light coloured Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck with a lift kit and mud flaps.

Some of the signs were damaged in the incident, but police found no evidence they were intentionally vandalized and no property damage has been reported.

Police are asking people to send in surveillance footage or information that might help with the investigation.
