Young music fans can discover the sounds of jazz when Vancouver-based trio TRIOLOGY performs two daytime shows in Kamloops this weekend.
Jazz Jam with TRIOLOGY will take place October 3 at the Lori Marchand Theatre at Kelson Hall, with performances scheduled for 10 am and 11:30 am.
The event is presented by the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra and is designed to introduce young listeners to jazz through playful rhythms, lively melodies and live performance.
Rather than simply listening to a recording, audiences will get to experience the energy of jazz in a live setting as the musicians perform together on stage.
TRIOLOGY is a Vancouver-based group made up of Canadian jazz musicians who bring different musical influences together in their performances.
The daytime concert is aimed at making jazz approachable for younger audiences while giving them a chance to experience live musicianship.
The two performances will take place at the Lori Marchand Theatre at Kelson Hall, located at 330 St. Paul St. in downtown Kamloops.
With two showtimes available, families can choose between the 10 am and 11:30 am performances.
Jazz Jam with TRIOLOGY is part of the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra’s programming and allows younger audiences to experience a live jazz performance in Kamloops.
