Stuart Skinner made 32 saves for a Winnipeg side that extended its season-opening point streak to four games.

A Samberg shot went in off Perfetti’s skate at 18:16 of the middle frame to give Winnipeg a 2-1 lead.

Svechkov tied it at 12:35 of the third when Schwartz sent a puck that bounced off the boards across to him in front of the net.

Avalanche: After scoring 14 goals in their first two games of the season, the reigning Presidents’ Trophy winners were held in check by a hot Skinner.
