People looking for handmade gifts, seasonal decorations and locally made goods will have a chance to shop close to home when the Rayleigh Fall Night Market returns Friday evening.
More than 30 vendors are expected to fill the Rayleigh Elementary School gymnasium on October 16, turning the school into an indoor market featuring local businesses and independent makers.
With autumn underway and the holiday season approaching, the market gives visitors a chance to browse handmade crafts, gifts and other locally made items all in one place.
For smaller businesses and makers, events like this offer an opportunity to introduce their products to new customers. For shoppers, it can mean discovering something different from what is typically found in larger retail stores.
The indoor location also means visitors can browse without worrying about the fall weather, making it an easy Friday evening outing for families and friends.
The event is hosted by Happy Occasions Kamloops, which is also handling vendor registration. Organizers have reminded vendors to register directly through the official business rather than through third parties.

The Rayleigh Fall Night Market takes place Friday, October 16, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Rayleigh Elementary School, located at 306 Puett Ranch Road in Kamloops.
Admission is free, and no tickets are required. Visitors can drop in throughout the evening and browse the vendor tables at their own pace.
