Nuggets guard/forward Julian Strawther to be re-evaluated in 6 weeks after spraining left knee

DENVER (AP) — Denver Nuggets guard/forward Julian Strawther will be out indefinitely after spraining his left knee while playing a preseason game at the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The Nuggets said Friday night that Strawther will be re-evaluated in six weeks. He was projected to come off the bench for Denver this season.

Strawther played in 57 games a season ago and averaged 7.2 points. He also saw action in two playoff games as the Nuggets were knocked out in the first round by Minnesota.

The 24-year-old out of Gonzaga was taken 29th overall in the 2023 draft. Strawther has started 18 games over his career.
