KELOWNA – A 22-year-old Kelowna man was arrested after a Subway restaurant was robbed at knife-point Monday.
Mounties headed to the Subway Restaurant at 1100 Lawrence Ave. just after 6:45 June 9 when the hold-up alarm was triggered. When they arrived, they were told an unknown man came into the restaurant with a knife in hand, demanding cash. He fled empty-handed.
Police found a man who matched the suspect's description a short distance away and arrested him. The knife was seized. Nobody was injured during the robbery.
Clayton Vicars Peter Moote was charged with robbery but other charges maybe recommended during the course of the investigation. He's also wanted on several other outstanding warrants. Moote was remanded into custody to appear in court June 11, 2014.
