A break and enter at a storage container in Kamloops netted the thieves some distinctive First Nations items.
Officers were called to a report of the break-in at the storage container at around 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the 200 block of Kitchener Crescent in Kamloops, according to an RCMP media release.
Cultural animal puppets, a basket, a hatch, colourful blankets and snowshoes were stolen.
“If anyone took these items, or knows who did, please do the right thing and return them to the place they were stolen from, or contact police,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.
Those with information are asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file number 2021-36884.
