Highway 3 has closed this afternoon east of Hope as power lines have blocked the road.
Drive B.C. reported the event at roughly 12:30 p.m. today, Jan. 6.
The power lines are located about 16 kilometres east of Hope, between First Avalanche Gate and Sunshine Valley.
CLOSED – #BCHwy3 – Downed Hydro lines has the highway closed in both directions 16 KM east of #HopeBC.
Assessment n progress. Expect delays.

Both lanes are currently blocked and an assessment is in progress.
Weather alerts are in effect for the Trans-Canada Highway, Coquihalla Highway, Highway 3 and the Okanagan Connector due to snow.
