Mobile home fire death ruled a suicide

WEST KELOWNA – A coroner’s investigation into the death of a West Kelowna man whose body was found after fire destroyed his mobile home has revealed the cause of death to be suicide.

According to the coroner’s report, Dennis Marvin Greep, 56, died of a single shot in the head from a high-calibre rifle in the early hours of April 9.

The report concludes Geep started the fire before taking his own life.

The bodies of two dogs were also found in the mobile home.
