A chimpanzee mom at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas, which was separated from its newborn for two days, was reunited with her offspring in a heart-wrenching moment.
Mahale gave birth via an emergency C-section and the baby needed to recover for a couple days before the reunion.
This is Mahale's third baby and has been named Kucheza which means “play” in Swahili.
