WEST KELOWNA – The rain wouldn't stop members of the teachers union gathering outside Premier Christy Clark's West Kelowna office this morning after an announcement a deal couldn't be reached with the province over the weekend.
About 1,000 teachers showed up for a study session at the Kelowna Community Theatre Monday morning to find out negotiations with the province were unsuccessful and the province's bargaining group didn't attend a session until 5 p.m. Sunday, according to Global Okanagan.
Teachers will offically launch a full-scale strike Tuesday.
