KELOWNA – A 56-year-old Penticton man is facing a number of charges in connection with a five-car pile-up on Harvey Avenue in Kelowna during yesterday afternoon’s rush hour.
RCMP say the crash at Harvey Avenue and Ethel Street at around 4:35 p.m., April 22, sent three people to hospital, while others were treated by paramedics. One of the drivers walked away from the scene.
Witnesses told police the driver of a pickup truck failed to stop, which caused the crash.
The driver and owner of the suspect pickup was found by police a short distance away. He ended up being one of the three taken to hospital.
He is also facing a number of criminal and Motor Vehicle Act charges, according to an RCMP media release.
