Robbery at Westsyde pharmacy

KAMLOOPS – Police are looking for a man who demanded money and prescription medications at a Westsyde pharmacy Saturday afternoon.

Sgt. Joe Morrissey says a man wearing a black motorcycle helmet demanded money and drugs from an employee at Cooper’s Foods pharmacy and then took off on a motorcycle around 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 9.

General duty officers were aided by police dog services and an RCMP helicopter, but they were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was wearing a yellow t-shirt, shorts and a helmet at the time of the robbery.

Mounties are asking anyone who can help identify the suspect or who may have witnessed the suspect in the area to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
