Join us for the 30th Annual Candlelight Vigil in memory of missing and murdered women. It has been 30 years since the massacre of women at l’Ecole Polytechnic and it’s time to get loud about the persistent violence against women. Meet at the Kelowna Art Gallery at 5:45 pm for a short walk over to the Kelowna Courthouse steps where we will hear the names of the women murdered at l’Ecole Polytechnic as well as in our own community and a recognition of those murdered and missing on the Highway of Tears. Please bring a candle, a noisemaker of some kind for the walk back, and a mug for hot chocolate after the event. This event is open to all genders and all ages (at the parent’s discretion).
