Presented by Organic Council of Ontario and Sure Source CommoditiesWe have certainly seen changes in organic farming over the last five years, as farmers entered the field motivated by making more money. Many assumed that organic was about not doing prohibited practices; they didn’t understand that it’s a system – organic means building organic carbon and getting healthy, mineralized soils. Now the hot topic is “regenerative”; the good news is that it’s not just the organic farmers interested in soil improvements and carbon sequestration, but the risk is that the term will get watered down too. Biological farming has always been a system, but what does it take to achieve healthy, mineralized soils? Can you till? Do you need minerals? What about cover crops, rotations, soil carbon building? Attend Gary’s session to learn more and ask your questions.Hosted By: Gary Zimmer, Midwestern BioAgModerator: Rob Wallbridge, SureSource Commodities, OCO PresidentGary Zimmer is Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Midwestern BioAg.
