Join us as local resident, Merle Hein shares what life was like coming of age on a Northern BC homestead in the late 1940s. Her father moved the family from a farm in Saskatchewan to the Peace River District of BC, when she was only seven. As the oldest of five, Merle helped raise her younger siblings through good times and not so good times. Merle will recount some of her experiences that she has written about in her book “Memories, Moosemeat & Mosquitoes”.
