CATs: Knitting for Knewbies!

Where: Library Reading RoomBy popular vote, our next CATs program will focus on learning to knit! An introduction to beginner stitches will be taught in small circles with a rough ratio of 1 teacher to 8 learners. Skills to be taught: knit stitch, purl stitch, casting on, binding off, basic mistake fixing. All materials provided (the Library has a wealth of yarn and needles we’d love to give away. Seriously. Please come take some during the program.)Guided instruction from Library staff will be available for the first hour of each CATs (Creative Adults and Teens) program. Attendees can then: a) continue their projects until 8:00 or closing OR b) leave and continue their projects on their own.This is a free program for ages 13 to 103 — both teens and adults are welcome.
