Climate, War, & Oysters Presented By: Gary Geddes and Ann Erikson
Join us in welcoming two fantastic BC Authors, Gary Geddes and Ann Erikson!
Ann Eriksson is a crusader for the earth and its critters in her five adult novels and her three books for young readers. She will be here to talk about her latest book “Urgent Message from a Hot Planet: Navigating the Climate Crisis” which Elizabeth May calls “a toolbox for hope.” It’s a timely, important and beautifully illustrated book that seems captivating to both youth and adult readers. It’s the kind of book that should be read by every student in the high school!
Gary Geddes has written and edited fifty books and won a dozen national and international literary awards. The Ventriloquist, which contains award-winning anti-war narratives, and The Oysters I Bring to Banquets confirm his reputation as “Canada’s best political poet” and that his poetry is, indeed, “breathtaking in its imaginative reach and verbal dexterity.”
The Penticton Library is excited to be hosting these two fantastic, British Columbia authors, and invite you to join us for their talk.
