Create and connect over Zoom with the OSA!

The Okanagan School of the Arts (OSA) is offering two online classes to spark your creativity from the safety of home.Starting on Tuesday, March 16, join us online for “SuperFoodies: Cooking Around the World” and learn how to make simple and tasty international dishes using healthy ingredients. Led by Holistic Nutritionist Anita Bains, this cooking program is a series of six Zoom sessions, offered to pairings of a child aged 7-12 and a parent/caregiver. Each week, children and caregivers will explore cuisine from a different country and prepare one dish together online. Anita will provide guidance, information, and encouragement. A list of ingredients and a recipe will be distributed a week prior to each session so participants can prepare. To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Nikki Marshall of Okanagan Dye Works will be teaching a needle felting workshop over Zoom, starting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 17. In this class, students will create their own lucky leprechaun. Participants will use Maori Wool to form and sculpt this figure. This class is good for beginners and children over the age of 10. Although this class will take place online via Zoom, all materials are included with the $40 registration fee.
