When we look back in history, women and girls have come a long way, but we have farther to go. We have not eradicated bonded child slavery, human trafficking, gender discrimination and financial inequality – especially in developing countries.
Together, we can do something about this.
Education is a key factor in poverty and risk reduction. In Nepal, just $425.00 provides a scholarship for a girl to go to school AND her mother to attend a mother’s group for a year. This support elevates HER. Which elevates HER family. Which elevates HER Community and HER future.
In Kelowna, the professionals at the Child Advocacy Center make remarkable differences in the impact associated with Child Abuse and provides kids a safe place to heal and recover.
Together, we can change the stories for women and children and ourselves.
Join us for an incredible evening with two world class speakers, Linda Edgecombe and Hugh Culver, the music of Ellen Churchill, Silent and Live Auction, updates from representatives of each of the charities supported. All of this will be served up with a champagne reception, wine, appetizers and of course, pie!.
