Family Day at the Kelowna Art Gallery — Botanical Printed Tote Bags, Free Exhibition Admission, Art Lab, and more!Monday, February 1710 am to 4 pmCost: FREE!This Family Day—Monday, February 17, from 10 am to 4 pm—join us for a fun filled day of creative expression and art exploration. Families will create custom printed tote bags* inspired by botanical imagery and abstract shapes. New to printmaking? No worries, we have you covered. The Gallery’s helpful staff will be on hand to assist participants with the activity. (*while supplies last qty. 250)After creating your custom tote bag, enjoy complimentary admission to our current exhibitions. There’s lots to see and do… Time to check out ‘Experiment in F# Minor’. This art installation actually responds to visitors’ shadows by playing different instruments and sounds from a whole bunch of speakers (over 60 of them!) that are sitting on top of a big wooden table. Viewers can experiment to create their own piece or team up with friends to add more layers and compose a more complex symphony of sounds. And that’s just one of the four exhibitions to check out…Still want more activities? The Gallery’s Art Lab will also be open and will offer an array of art materials to dive into for self-directed creative play.Time to explore!
