Dawn Ewen, who has devoted over a dozen years to perfecting the art of pantomime, weaves together slapstick comedy, catchy songs, and enchanting storytelling for an experience that’s sure to leave audiences laughing, singing, and believing in fairy tales all over again. Adapted from Johnny Duncan’s story and featuring a lively cast of unforgettable characters, Jack and the Beanstalk promises to be this season’s family highlight.
Synopsis
In the quaint village of Bumbleville lives a spirited young man named Jack, whose appetite for adventure is as big as his heart. When his mother, Dame Trot, hits hard times, Jack takes his beloved cow Daisy to market, hoping to trade her for a little cash. But instead, he receives a handful of mysterious magic beans from an eccentric stranger who promises that riches await him.
When the beans sprout into a towering beanstalk, Jack begins a courageous climb toward an adventure beyond his wildest dreams. Along his journey, he meets a host of quirky characters, including the mischievous Fairy Tutu, the lovable King Pun Pun, and Princess Melody. Together, they must outwit the fearsome Demon Distastely and the infamous Giant Grumblebelly, who lurks in the sky with an insatiable appetite!
This rollicking pantomime is a treat for the senses, filled with unforgettable characters, hilarious scenes, and spectacular musical numbers. Can Jack save Bumbleville, retrieve the stolen treasures, and maybe even find true love?
