Feminist Horror Festival (Daily)

The Feminist Horror Festival is a series of events starting Sept. 26 and culminating with Halloween!
There are film screenings, art gallery activities, a speaker series, book club, activist roundtable, music and dance, and theatre. Special guests include filmmakers Ariel Baska and Karen Lam, podcast host Chelsey Weber-Smith of American Hysteria, and Johanna Isaacson, author of Stepford Daughters.
Events are mostly in downtown Kelowna, UBCO and OC campuses.
Some of our partners include the Okanagan Regional Library, Kelowna Art Gallery, Mary Irwin Theatre and the Rotary Centre, Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Queerphoria, Bernies Supper Club, Gather Restaurant, HorrorFest, Greater Vancouver Horror Writers’ Association, Final Girl Festival Berlin, UBC and Okanagan College. The series is meant to help raise awareness about gender-based violence.
