𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 Join the Museum & Archives of Vernon for a FREE community celebration in honour of our newest exhibition, 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘻𝘦: 𝘈 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤 𝘓𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨!𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: Saturday, June 13𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Outside the Museum & Archives of Vernon𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 | 𝗡𝗼 𝗥𝗦𝗩𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱Bring the whole family down for an exciting afternoon celebrating the firefighters who help protect our communities. This fun-filled outdoor event offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to connect with local fire departments, explore firefighting equipment up close, and enjoy family activities in a welcoming community atmosphere.Enjoy:• Fire truck tours• Opportunities to meet local firefighters• Face painting• Family-friendly games and activities• Community BBQ by donation• Outdoor fun for all agesVisitors are also encouraged to explore 𝘉𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘻𝘦 the Museum’s newest exhibition examining the history of firefighting in the Okanagan, from early volunteer brigades to modern emergency response.All proceeds from the community BBQ will support the Museum & Archives of Vernon’s ongoing exhibitions, educational programming, and community initiatives.𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: This event is planned primarily as an outdoor celebration. In the event of poor weather, some activities may be reduced or moved indoors where possible.
