Foundations of Seed Saving

Ready to improve your seed saving knowledge? This webinar will walk participants through the fundamentals of seed saving, covering topics from understanding basic genetics of plants, pollination, species identification, population sizes, isolation needs, annuals vs biennials, seed harvesting, cleaning and storing. This webinar will focus mainly on common vegetable and flower varieties, therefore will not be covering perennials or woody plants. This webinar is recommended for anyone wanting to learn more, or refresh their understanding of seed saving.The webinar will be delivered by Peggy Baillie of Three Forks Farms, a seed saver and seed grower on Manitoulin Island. Peggy has been trained in commercial seed production and produces seed for sale through Three Forks Farms and also on contract for other seed companies in Ontario.
