Free Kids Fishing Weekend

Kalamalka Fly Fishers will be holding their annual Kids Fishing Weekend at Polson Park Pond This is a FREE event for the whole family.The pond will be split into 5 sections and stocked with 900 to 1000 rainbow trout courtesy of Fresh Water Fisheries.Children 4 to 14 are invited to come and catch a limit of 2 trout per day. Bring your own rod and reel or use ours. Rods & reels will be available for those who do not have their own. “Guides” will be on hand to help land your catch. We’ll supply the bait, clean your fish and even take a photo…. ALL FREEChildren MUST be accompanied by an adult.If you wish to see the trout being released into the pond, join us on Wednesday, May 3rd. The Freshwater Fisheries truck is expected to arrive between 11:30 and 1:30 (depending on traffic through Kelowna).
